And even though moving web hosts should be simple…there’s a lot of little things that can make it go wrong. GoDaddy isn’t famous for helping it’s customers leave. That’s a con. iPage was established in 1998, and today they host over 1 million websites. Their customers include everything from blogs to online stores, business sites, personal and nonprofit websites.
Hi Michael, fair question. I can assure you though that there is a huge big difference between a $1-3.5 hosting plan and a managed plan from Pagely or WP Engine etc. Check out the features of any of the managed plans compared to the low cost shared plans, not only do you get more resources (capacity) with a more expensive shared hosting plan, but you also get a specially tuned environment for WordPress, managed backups, specially configured caching layer and in most cases built in CDN.
Ah, but the opportunity-if you’re so inclined-is there, too. To help others (if you can and are inclined), to join a vibrant and growing community on the forums, where you’ll get REAL help with problems as you try to build and grow your site, to have THE BEST service possible, from folks like Matt who truly give a crap, not just lip service…well, I’ll stop preaching now. It’s real. You may ignore IMW, but it’s truly your-and OUR!-loss.
