The Wars Mod Server 1.6.4 Textchanged Server Side As the whole site is deployed at the moment, I rely on some environment variables to switch between source and distribution directories when serving the site. I’d like to minimise the amount of environment-specific code — switching public directories within the Apache config file is not ideal when it’s unreliable — even
The Remote Server Returned An Error 407 Proxy Authentication Required WordPress is everywhere from our blogs to our sales letters, membership sites, squeeze pages, launch pages and more. This tool has single-handedly simplified the task of website creation. Now, I cannot imagine how we handled things before the advent of WordPress since we would have to manually write code one page after another with HTML
Bluehost’s servers are fast and stable up until a certain point. When our websites began to exceed 30,000 visits per month, we noticed more downtime and a decrease in page loading speed. Unless you’re willing to pay for Bluehost’s dedicated servers, their service isn’t built for high-traffic sites. A lot of hosting providers are out there, and it’s an extremely competitive market. However, use caution when checking into hosting providers that offer unlimited packages. Basically, for a certain cost per month, you get unlimited bandwidth transfer and unlimited hard drive space (along with unlimited domains, databases pretty much unlimited everything!). This isn’t to say that the hosts that do this aren’t good ones. But a popular school of thought says that there’s no such thing as unlimited. Be sure to read the hosting provider’s terms of service. Pay particular attention to what they have to say about server resources, or more specifically, CPU (central processing unit that executes the web server) resource usage.
My first attempt using racoon was on Gentoo. It didn’t necessarily seem any more stable than vpnc, but the main drawback is that it created an alias interface on the primary interface (i.e eth0:1), unlike vpnc or racoon under OS X which used tun interfaces. The alias interface was hard to deal with routing wise, making things somewhat confusing.
